Websites, apps & custom software

Websites, apps and software - built, hosted and looked after

Designed and built mobile-first for Australian audiences, then maintained: patched, monitored and kept fast, so the thing you paid for is still working properly in three years.

The part most agencies leave out

Plenty of shops will build you a website. Far fewer will still be there when a dependency goes end-of-life, a certificate expires on a Sunday, or a plugin turns out to have a vulnerability that has been public for a month.

That gap is where most small-business websites die. Not at launch - eighteen months later, slowly, until the day it breaks or gets defaced and nobody has the credentials.

We build the thing and then look after it. Patching, monitoring, uptime, security updates and the unglamorous maintenance that keeps a site from decaying are part of the arrangement, not an upsell after the invoice clears.

What we build

Custom website design

Designed for your business rather than assembled from a template everyone in your industry is also using. Mobile-first, because most Australian traffic is, and built to WCAG 2.2 AA so the site works for people using screen readers, keyboards and magnification - which is both the right call and, for many organisations, a legal expectation.

iOS, Android and web apps

Native and cross-platform mobile apps and progressive web apps, built around what the app is actually for. We will tell you when a well-built responsive site would serve your customers better than an app they must be persuaded to install.

Bespoke business software

The internal tool that runs the part of your business no off-the-shelf product understands - job tracking, quoting, scheduling, compliance records. Built when the spreadsheet has clearly outgrown itself and the SaaS options all want you to work their way.

System and API integrations

Making the systems you already run talk to each other and to the outside world - payment gateways, accounting packages, logistics providers, government services, industry platforms. Documented, logged and built to fail loudly rather than silently.

Australian-based hosting

Hosted for Australian audiences, so your customers get low latency and your data stays where you expect it. Where a component necessarily sits offshore, we tell you before it is built and apply the APP 8 cross-border safeguards.

Maintenance, security and uptime

Dependencies patched, TLS renewed, backups verified by restoring them, uptime monitored, and performance watched so the site does not quietly get slower every release. The work that has no demo, and matters more than the ones that do.

How we build

Fast by default. This site is under half a megabyte on first load, with self-hosted fonts, no third-party requests before consent, and content-hashed assets that let a repeat visit load from disk with no network call. That is not a special effort - it is the baseline, because page weight is a conversion problem before it is a search-ranking one.

Accessible by default, to WCAG 2.2 AA: real contrast ratios, keyboard-operable everything, sensible focus order, and forms that explain what went wrong.

Privacy by default. Analytics stays off until a visitor opts in, consent choices are honoured across the whole stack, and nothing loads from a third party before that decision is made.

Common questions

Can you take over a site someone else built?

Usually, yes - it is a common request. We will audit what is there first and give you an honest read on whether it is worth maintaining or whether you would spend less rebuilding it. Sometimes the answer is genuinely rebuild, and we will say so even though it is the bigger quote, because propping up a bad foundation costs you more over three years.

Do we own the code and the hosting accounts?

Yes. Your accounts, your domain, your code, documented well enough for someone else to take over. Holding a client hostage through access is a business model we are not interested in.

Do we need an app, or is a website enough?

Most small businesses need a fast, well-built responsive site rather than an app. An app makes sense when you need offline capability, device hardware, push notifications or genuinely repeat daily use. If you do not, an app is a download barrier between you and your customer.

What does "maintained" actually include?

Security patching, dependency updates, certificate renewal, verified backups, uptime monitoring and performance checks - plus somebody answering the phone when something is wrong. We scope it explicitly so you know what is covered rather than discovering the boundary during an outage.

Have something that needs building - or rescuing?

New build, rebuild, or a site somebody else abandoned halfway. Free call, and you will get a straight answer about which of those three you actually have.

Free call, Australia-wide. No pitch, no pressure.
